CNE 2026 Unveils Bizarre Food Lineup and Space-Themed Attractions

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is preparing to launch an eclectic mix of unique food items for its 2026 season, promising a culinary adventure for attendees. Among the standout dishes are a Kraft Dinner smoothie, a dill pickle cheesecake pop, and a signature cotton candy hot sauce that will be incorporated into various menu items. This hot sauce will feature on a spicy cheese foam topping for fries and in a Korean fried chicken spicy ramen taco. Sweet-seeking visitors can explore options like mango habanero or nacho donuts.

Beyond these prominent features, the CNE will also introduce a variety of other experimental food creations. These include pickle and bacon-flavoured coffees, a Szechuan spice cream, cotton candy chicken, sushi pops, and blue heat Taki tenders. The exhibition will also showcase popcorn falafel poutine, Jamaican beef patty mini pierogies, lobster on a stick, and a footlong butter chicken taquito. Desserts will not be left out, with items such as deep-fried S'MOREOs, a s'more deep-fried slice, and deep-fried Oreos with brie cheese planned.

Further down the list of unusual offerings are dill pickle "pegrolls," ramen fried frog legs, smash burger dumplings, and the aptly named "Carnival Cone." Savory options continue with nacho ribs and steak barrel pork belly. For those seeking a refreshing, albeit peculiar, beverage, a sweet corn wasabi lemonade will be available.

In addition to the food attractions, the CNE is set to host impressive high-diving performances throughout the event, which runs from August 21st to September 7th. These shows will feature divers plunging into a substantial 40,000-gallon pool, located near the Princes' Gates.

Highlighting the CNE's 2026 programming is the participation of astronaut Jeremy Hansen. Hansen, who recently completed a mission around the moon with the Artemis II, will be present for the opening ceremonies. Following this, an exhibition titled "Artemis II Journey" will be on display, developed in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency, offering visitors a glimpse into Canada's lunar exploration efforts.
