Blue Jays Sign Veteran Pitcher Michael Lorenzen

The Toronto Blue Jays have announced a new addition to their roster, signing veteran right-handed pitcher Michael Lorenzen to a one-year deal. Lorenzen, aged 34, is expected to be available for the team's home game against the Kansas City Royals. He joins the Blue Jays after most recently pitching for the Colorado Rockies, where he posted a 3-11 record with a 7.08 earned-run average over 25 starts before his release. Lorenzen made his Major League Baseball debut in 2015 and was recognized as an all-star in 2023. Throughout his career, he has accumulated a 4.40 ERA across 421 appearances. In related roster moves, the Blue Jays have optioned pitcher Chad Dallas to triple-A Buffalo and moved outfielder Jonatan Clase to the 60-day injured list.
