The couple, who previously resided in California after departing from royal life in March 2020, will maintain their status as private citizens. Media reports suggest the relocation is timed for the children to begin their education in the U.K. this September.

This move follows a period of strained relations between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, marked by public criticism from Harry and Meghan and a significant breakdown in communication with Harry's father and brother. Harry has also expressed concerns regarding security arrangements in the U.K., citing a lack of automatic police protection as a barrier to bringing his children to Britain.
